FULL PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This is a CAD dwg drawing of a Retaining Wall with Shear Key Eccentric Footing Design. Complete and fully designed cantilevered retaining wall with 8 different soil retaining conditions, where the eccentric footing is on the low side of soil and an extra shear key is added on the high soil side for extra stability and more economical designs for such high walls.

Over a certain retaining soil height, adding a shear key to the footing results in better, easier and more economic designs than those of having all of the foundation footing on the low side of the soil. Of course one might use a regular eccentric footing but from a certain height ( appr. 3.0m and up ) the design become very uneconomical, heavily reinforced with very large foundation.

You will never have to design another retaining wall of this type. Use this drawing design as is with all your projects and you are done.

Cantilever Retaining wall drawing with design and dimensioning parameters that have been pre-calculated and presented with the included parameters table. Designs available for soil retaining capacity range from 2.50m to 4.00m. All designs have been carried out using eurocodes including earthquake loadings.

Perfect detail design drawing to be used where the retaining wall has is moderately high above normal. Although walls footing is best to be under the retaining soil for better over-tip stability, there are cases where plot boundaries or other existing obstacles do not allow thus having to locate the footing of the wall on the low unfavorable side of the soil.
