Curved circular grand staircases or helical floating staircases are somehow difficult both to design and draw due to the geometry complexity.

Curved circular helical staircases are usually used architecturally to offer an iconic feature to a building, in contrast to a regular straight L or U shaped staircase. The most attractive feature is that they seem to floating ( thus the name ) without a centre or edge support. That is the reason that in some cases they are referred to as GRAND staircases.
